Old Vintage
Brass Letter Opener
This is solid brass and has good weight.
Markings or Makers Marks: None
Stats and Measurments: Brass. 7 1/4" long x 2 1/8" across the sword gaurd.
Condition: Good. It could use a polishing / cleaning, but as I have learned collectors do not like items such as this to be polished. So I am leaving it up to the buyer.

This would make a nice addition to any collection of brass, letter openers, vintage items, or vintage office and desk items.

Vintage 1939 Bakelite
Art Deco

The Patent Number below (as my book shows it) dates it to 1939.
Markings or Makers Marks: On the back it has the following:

Stats and Measurments: Bakelite. It measures a little under 7 3/4" long x 4 1/4" across x 3/4" deep.
Condition: It is in good condition. There are no chips and no cracks. The indicator arrow moves freely when it is open or slightly open, but when it is closed it is hard to move for the index cards inside have worn on the edges and need to be replaced. If the cards are replaced or removed the indicator arrow works just fine. I will leave it up to the buyer. The cards have some names and phone numbers on them some of the phone numbers are 4 digit and some are 5 digit. It closes and latches fine with a latch made of metal.
This would be a nice piece for any collectors of bakelite, bakalite, art deco, office items, address items and/or vintage items.
This would also look nice on a desk.
